Nowadays, with the information network and market globalization, manufacturing faced a huge challenge due to rapidly changing market environment and the product life cycle significantly shortened. To keep up with the pace, enterprises need to rapid adjusting machine layout. Under such a background, the traditional static machine layout method has utterly incompetent at layout design work. Therefore, the dynamic machine layout planning is introduced to solve the problem. During the processes of solving machine layout problem, the production both at the current time and in the nearby future need to be considered, so as to reduce the production cost. In addition, many factors must to be considered when evaluating machine layout pros and cons, some of which are quantitative, and others are qualitative.Machine layout is reasonable or not directly affects the economic efficiency of enterprises. It is a significant problem that urgently needs to be solved but has still not been well solved. Firstly, the correlation theories of machine layout are analyzed, including machine layout principles, layout forms, conveyor equipment, layout method, layout evaluation method, optimization objectives, constraint condition, while optimization model and algorithm are analyzed in detail. This dissertation adopts QAP model and simulated annealing algorithm to solve machine layout problem based on existing research.For machine layout problem, unidirectional loop layout problem is taken as a studied object. Based on the comprehensive analysis of influencing factors on unidirectional loop machine layout, a multi-objective and dynamic layout optimization design method is proposed. Distance-based total cost, rearrangement cost and adjacency-based objective cost are taken as optimization objectives for the optimization model of the unidirectional loop machine layout.By using ideal point method transform the multi-objective optimization model into a single-objective model. The flow chart of annealing simulation algorithm with the consideration of optimization model is presented. During the optimization processes, producing mechanism of the new solution, new solution acceptance principles and parameter setting of annealing simulation algorithm are specially analyzed.At last, the software of multi-objective optimization design for unidirectional loop machine dynamic layout is developed by MFC. This software is adopted to solve a project example and the results show that the proposed method in this dissertation is better than the traditional static machine layout method, which can significantly reduce the production cost. Moreover, this dissertation uses the confidence interval analysis to confirm the effectiveness of the optimization model and algorithm which are presented in this study.
