Corrugated carton is a kind of renewable, easy recovery of green packaging product, so it will be more widely used in the packaging field. As transport packaging products, the protective properties of corrugated box are very important. Corrugated box in the circulation process, causes damage to the cartons are the factors:impact, vibration, static pressure, dynamic pressure and climate condition. The physical properties of corrugated box are significant to determine whether the product can be sent to consumers in good condition. The most fundamental property of testing the physical properties of corrugated box is compression strength. Compression strength of corrugated box is an important indicator of transport packaging, which determines the actual function of corrugated packaging. Therefore, the study of the compression performance of corrugated box is practical.There are many factors affecting the compression strength of corrugated box, the issue researched the affection of structure humidity and size. The paper researched the corrugated boxes of different humidity and different sizes, obtained the compression strength of different corrugated boxes, and studied the change rule.First the paper studied the physical properties of corrugated board, tested its thickness, quantitative, vertical and horizontal elastic modulus, and the ring crush strength of its tissue paper and core paper. Then the paper researched the compression strength of corrugated box through Kelly Carter formula, experiment research and finite element analysis. By contrast, the paper obtained the influence rules of structure size and humidity, and got an effective finite element model.The results of this paper are instructive and meaningful to design the corrugated box in different regions.
