Analysis Of Urban Parks System And Explore Of Development Strategies In Hanoi

Given the building of urban green spstem (UGSS) and the rhetoric of "the Urban Great Landscape" that people are discussing, this dissertation intends to study the current building of Hanoi urban park system (UPS). Our social advancement, economic development, and the improvement of people's living standard, are indispensable for the development and change of the UPS. In the current process of development, Hanoi UPS has been facing lots of problem, among which there is a fundamental contradiction between the rapid developed urban areas and the less developed UPS. In other work, urban green space cannot satisfy the demand for urban growth. Furthermore, this gap is being enlarged due to the imbalance of urban development. Sepecifically, this contradiction can be seen in different level of the urban park development, such as lack of connection between each other, inequality of distribution, all of which are waiting to be addressed. However, after unified nation, especially the implemention of the implementation of the reform and open-up policy, by building a large amount of green space in Hanoi, a good foundation has been laid for further improving current Hanoi UPS, while concrete materials and evidences have also been provided for studying the redevelopment of Hanoi urban park. Therefore, by focusing on examining Hanoi UPS'current situation, this dissertation would like to propose relevant strategies and suggestions for the development of Hanoi UPS, with the hope that as well as improving UGSS planning, we can promote the building of park green space to form a better urban public environment.
