| The viscoelastic damper is a kind of effeetive passivity control devices .It reduces the seismic response of structure by adding the damping and dissipating the seismic energy of the structure. The knee bracing steel frame is a new-kind of energy dissipating frame. It is designed as a dissipating member and can dissipate energy by plastic distortion and yield in shear in advance to avoid the main member destroyed under infrequence earthquake. The author proposes that seting in the knee braced steel frame with viscoelastic damper which has both the advantages of viscoelastic damper and knee brace. This new structure system make the structure have two energy dissipating and seismic response reducing lines in earthquake.The author describe the character and typical structure style of KBF, and set up the frame resilience curve of KBF, present the solution model for knee brace stiffness, introduce the constructure of general viscoelastic dampers and the mechanical performance of VEM, expound the effect factors of viscoelastic materal, present the mathematical formula of viscoelastic damper and analyze the method to make sure the parameter of viscoelasic damper.The finite element analysis software SAP2000 is used to analyze elastic time-history analysis of four different programs of knee braced structure with viscoelastic dampers under horizontal earthquake action. According to calculations, the influence of seismic performance of differenrt types of knee braced high-rise steel structure with viscoelastic dampers is analyzed in both dynamic characteristics and seismic response, so we will get a reasonable layout program of knee braced structure with VED. |
