With the rapidly development of our economic, some existing road can't meet the growing traffic demand, therefore,the road rebuild and extension shows an increaseing tendency gradually.There are multidimen- sional problems in the reconstruction and extension of road project:such as roadbeds. Tunnels, bridges etc, and the slope is the commonest engineering geology problem in mountainous city road constr- uction, if processes are improper, it could leads to slope instability, which directly affects the engineering quality and the entire route of expansion project. Based on Chen Zhou Chenzigui road reconstruction and extension project, during the process, by analyzing and evaluating appeared problems during the route of the embankment and cutting slope; how to use the original supporting structure or how to take effective supporting structure measures to ensure the slope stability.This article analyzed all sorts of factors which affect the stability of excavating and extending slope through experimental study of K5 Coal series in Chenzigui road (Chen Zhou district). Start with the problems on the existing road reconstruction and extension engineering slope, considering the nonlinear characteristics, atmospheric precipitation and the change of slope rock geotechnical physical, which are affect the stability of slope, simulating analyzed towards stability of slope excavation by finite element strength reduction of slope engineering, as well as the whole process simulation, the main consideration factor is material stress-strain property, can real-time reflect the stress-strain property of slope and supporting structure. Taking the reconstruction and extension of Chenzigui Avenue project K5 as an example, simulating the instability condition and instability process of road cutting with the protection of suppor- ting function as truly as possibly,analyzing the displacement field distribution and change rule cutting slope excavation of strain, searching the possible existence which is the most dangerous sliding surface, and making evaluation for the entire stability of slope. Finally based on the actual situation proposed the advance prevent and manage methods of cutting slope instability under the existing supporting,which provide reference and theoretical foundation for road reconstruction and extension.Based on the stability control theory, by analyzing and evaluating the slope supporting stability of K5's road cutting, achieve the reasonable supporting request for slope. Through comparative analysis by the two kinds of different support methods, we believe that in the soil slope with weak supporting process, should try our best to maintain the original soft soil layer's natural construct,which is high intensity and strain to stress. Accord to the actual situation that the control measures for slope failure is proposed under existing slope shoring, which provide reference and theoretical basis for slope reasonable supporting under road reconstruction.
