As one of the three worldwide subjects in the vehicle field, vehicle safety is more and more taken seriously, so it is an important direction to study and improve the vehicle braking performance. With the development of the cartronics and virtual prototype technology, co-simulation technology is widely used in the reserch of the vehicle dynamics.By using the technology of co-simulation in the reserch, not only reduces the risk of testing real vehicle, but also improves the design efficiency, shortens the the period of development and reduces the costs.Based on the hardware system of ABS,EBD is invented as a device to improve vehicle safety initiatively.lt can distribute the brake-force reasonably, shorten the brake-distance, prevent the rear wheel to lock before the front wheel, avoid appearing the phenomenon of "braking swerve" and sideslip, and improve the braking stability. This paper not only introduces how to build brake subsystem, tires and roads files with ADAMS/Car in detail, but also tells how to realize the closed-loop control between ADAMS and MATLAB. Through the vertical load between the front and rare wheels when braking, this paper calculates the ideal brake-force distribution coefficient and assignes to the wheels to control brake-line pressure, controls every wheel brake-torque by using slip-rate as control threshold, and guarantees the front wheel's slip-rate always less or equal to rear wheel's with logic threshold control method. This paper simulates the straight-line braking on the high coefficient, low coefficient and variant coefficient roads, and changs the control factor of the simulation according to the simulation results until meet the requirements. The simulation results testify EBD based on this paper's control strategy can make better braking per-formance of the vehicle. This paper builds the whole vehicle model by ADAMS/Car, and simulates the straight-line braking on different roads combined with MATLAB/Simulink, provides an effective method for reserching EBD.
