Because of the particularity of geographical location and climate environment, there is the characteristic of long sunshine time in summer, huge temperature difference between day and night and more extreme weather condition in Xinjiang region. The applicability of china's current evaluation standard of high temperature stability for Xinjiang region isn't enough, so it has a vital significance to formulate high temperature stability standard of Xinjiang region. In view of the problems mentioned above, China's present evaluation standard of high temperature stability has been researched and analyzed, the correlation exists between dynamic stability and asphalt mixtures rutting deformation, the actual rut damage of asphalt pavement can't be comprehensively evaluated with the index. In order to fully reflect the whole process of the development of rutting deformation, we should put forward a comprehensive evaluation index considering the deformation in transitional and stable stage of the compaction. As a result, in this paper the Dynamic Stability Index (DSI) is proposed to remedy the defects of dynamic stability for the evaluation of the high temperature performance of asphalt mixtures. The influencing factors of anti-shear strength and high temperature performance of asphalt mixtures are studied by asphalt mixtures test in laboratory. The rutting prediction model is established considering the effects of temperature, axle numbers, shear stress and anti-shear strength. According to the rutting prediction model, rutting evaluation standard of anti-shear strength are obtained. Combined with different climate in Xinjiang region, recommended values of rutting evaluation standard are proposed.
