In recent years, construction and development of high-way has become a focus point in China. For the convince and safety of the passengers, many scholars have put their efforts into the study of improving current road conditions, exploring new materials, and creating new methods in order to further pavement structure. As one of those many factors that damage asphalt pavement, rutting threatens the safety of driving; That would be reducing the useful life of asphalt pavement as well as causing the appearance of cracks on surrounding pavement and the exfoliation of the mixture. Hence, further study of how to improve the resistance to rutting of the asphalt pavement is truly necessary. As the anti-rutting product being successfully developed and popularized primarily among European countries, this very idea and the new method also caught attentions of domestic scholars and professionals. Seeing the good result of using this anti-rutting product and the simple way of application, in order to allow better effect and performance to happen, more and more scholars started innovative researches on the subject about the combination of anti-rutting materials based on what they have already acknowledged. In this report, based on the project "The Application of the PCF composite anti-rutting agent" by Jilin Province Department of Communications, attempt is made to prove this new anti-rutting could be effectively added into asphalt mixture as an admixture and more detail about the effect of resistance to rutting at higher temperature. The following researches and studies have been made on this subject matter:1. Experimental Study on High-temperature Stability of Asphalt Mixture with PCF anti-rutting agent. In order to illustrate the effect of PCF anti-rutting agent, PR PLASTS anti-rutting agent developed in French is selected as counter object for the purpose of experimental comparison. Both agents were added into mixture AC-16and mixture SMA-16individually to carry out the Marshall’s stability test, high temperature rutting test, Immersion Marshall stability test and freeze-thaw splitting test. The finding of those tests is:similar to the effect of PR anti-rutting agent, the performance of the asphalt mixture with PCF anti-rutting agent is raised respectively. The ability of resisting to high temperature rutting was increased tremendously, the dynamic stability can improve up to3.4times compared to AC-16mixture. Moreover, the water stability of the asphalt mixture was also improved while enhancing the dynamic stability.2. In base of Burgers model to complete uniaxial static creep test of asphalt mixture with anti-rutting agentAs the basis of Burgers model to analysis resist deformation capacity in uniaxial static creep test, about AC-16and SMA-16mixing anti-rutting agent. Make them under high temperature and constant load. After the test, several material parameters can be calculated, such as stiffness modulus, elasticity modulus and dynamic viscosity. That test results can prove, PCF anti-rutting agent is contribute to improving stiffness of asphalt mixture modulus. In addition, PCF anti-rutting agent will improve its resist deformation performance after temperature increased.3. Use FLAC3D to analysis rutting deformation state of actual asphalt pavementThe result of FLAC3D simulation was first verified for reliability using uniaxial static creep test. Further analysis applied FLAC3D with finite difference method and was based the model of structure of actual asphalt pavement comprehending all known material parameters. Possible rutting depth on asphalt pavement was predicted when using AC-16mixture or SMA-16mixture with PCF anti-rutting agent as the surface of asphalt pavement. This article aims to complete the analysis of the preliminary test of the application of the new anti-rutting agent material, hoping to provide effective contributions to further anti-rutting research and development which through the well-organized procedure and the integrated content of those experiments.
