| In recent years, modified asphalt becomes an effective approach to solve problems due to lack of fine petrol resources and series of issues of existing pavement. At the end of day, it is expected to achieve sustainable development through improving asphalt's performance.This paper studied on a new material named IntergraBase. Basically when it is mixed together with asphalt, a series of chemical reaction happened so to improve asphalt's performance, this includes stability while in high temperature, water stability, anti-fatigue and other features.This paper illustrated comparative analysis based on result of laboratory experiment by mixing various amount of IntergraBase modified asphalt,basis asphalt,SBS modified asphalt. The result indicated that IntergraBase has successfully achieved its goals that are to improve stability while in high temperature, water stability,anti-fatigue and other features.To comprehensively understand how IntergraBase impact on its mixture, two sets of data are comparatively analyzed with different amount of AC-13C and AC-20C mixing with the combination of basis asphalt and SBS modified asphalt. The lab result indicated that IntegraBase modified asphalt and its mixture has noticeably improved the following features, anti-rutting, water stability and ant fatigue crack. The life of pavement has been extended greatly.This paper investigated insight rationale of IntergraBase's outstanding performance through various lab experiment approaches such as chemical analysis, scanning electron microscopy analysis and etc. These approaches helped to study the rationale behind the chemical reaction in between asphalt and this new material from a micro perspective.Last but not least, this paper explored the detailed implementation procedures of how IntergraBase improves asphalt considering how IntergraBase react with asphalt, and more importantly, studied social benefits and economic benefits of adopting IntergraBase. |
