The axis locus of spindle can not only reflect the spindle's gyration accuracy, but also is the important basis of spindle's running state and failure symptoms. Research shows that rotating machinery vibration is mainly caused by the unbalance. Therefore, testing the axis locus and dynamic balance of spindle are studied in this paper.Firstly, the test method of axis locus and error separation technique is researched. And a both way dynamic method and error separation method of reverse have been chosen. The dynamic balance test of spindle is studied and selective analysis the Influence coefficient method of single dynamic balance and double-sided balance testing method Double-faced dynamic balance test method and the solving algorithm of unbalanced vibration signal. In order to realize the precise measurement of fundamental frequency signal, the thinning of fundamental frequency composition has been carried out.Secondly, the principal axis locus and dynamic balance test plan has been designed. According to the test requirements needed, we choose the hardware and set up an experimental device of testing system. Testing system can realize high speed data acquisition, and the highest sampling frequency reaches 100000 Hz.Thirdly, the test software has been Modular designed by Labview. Software system consists of spindle axis trajectory and dynamic balance testing capabilities. Ease of interface has a strong. It has rich digital signal processing and analysis functions, such as: low-pass filtering, frequency domain analysis, wavelet analysis and so on.Finally, a two-section rotor orbits and dynamic balance test have run in the ZHS-1 multi-functional rotor system. The results show that using reverse method can effectively separated gyration error and the roundness error. The rotate speed and unbalance of spindle are the important factor of rotary errors. Through single and double dynamic balancing test, the rotor vibration has been a significant decline.
