Engineering often encounter the problem that the bearing capacity of ground can not meet the require of building, so the ground needs to be treated. Dynamic compaction has the adventages of simple construction, better effective and low cost, therefore it was wildly used in many kinds of ground treatment, especially in large scale ground treatment project. Combined the ground treatment engineering of JIANG-NAN waste water treating plant of NANNING, the application study of Dynamic compaction and the ground vibration properties caused by dynamic compaction are conducted is this paper.Based on the summarize of the developing of the dynamic compaction technique and the ground vibration reaserch, the dynamic characters of dynamic compaction technique was studied firstly, deeply investigation on the working mechnichs of reinforce the saturation and non-saturation soil ground by dynamic is conducted also. Secondly the analysis of the design and construction key technique of dynamic compaction, the the vibration properties and the harm to the neighborhood building and human done by the vibration were conducted.Ground vibration caused by dynamic compaction is the higly dynamic nonlinear problem which merged with geometry nonlinear, material nonlinear and contact nonlinear. By using Marc FEM program the ground vibration caused by dynamic compaction was calculated, especially emphasized on the harm to adjacent building and its prevention methods. Results show that the safe distance to avoid the harm to building at least 15m. When the distance can not meet the require, vibration-isolating dug may be the best choice. Results show that the deeper vibration-isolating dug brings better vibration isolate effective, it is better than 2m depth.The application of dynamic compaction technique on the ground treatment engineering of JIANG-NAN waste water treating plant of NANNING is introduced by three part: firstly the design of reinforce method, secondly the test of the harm to adjacent building and its prevention methons, thirdly the reinforce effective test method and results. Results show that the dynamic compaction technique is successful used in the project.
