Indoor thermal environment is one of most important parts of HVAC, and with rapid development of CFD technology and computer technology, CFD software is become a very useful tool for the research of indoor thermal environment. Abroad, there are some mature business softwares, but all of them are expensive, and in the domestic this kind of software is scarce. So it is very meaningful to develop this kind of software with independent intellectual property right. In this paper, hybrid programming mode of Visual Basic and Visual Fortran is used to develop this kind of software-Indoor Thermal Environment Simulation (ITES) in VB.NET development platform, which has friendly interface, fast computing speed, and graphical visualization.In this paper, k ?εtow-equation turbulence model is adopted to study three-dimensional indoor turbulent flow, internal node method is choose to generate mesh, finite volume method is choose as discretization method, a hybrid differential scheme is used for convection part. TDMA method is used to solve discrete equations, and SIMPLE algorithm is used for coupling of pressure and velocity. At last, write a core computer program by Visual Fortran.In VB.NET development platform, ITES is developed, which contains three parts: pre-process program, core computer program, post-process program. In pre-process program, there are four parts: problem setup, model, mesh, solution setup, which contain all data before problem solution; core computer program solve problem and gain the velocity profile, pressure, temperature, k,ε, PMV, PPD and concentration distributions; in post-process program, display calculation results in different forms, and value the thermal comfort and air quality of room.In ITES, simulate different indoor thermal environment, the comparison results between ITES results and test results, Airpak results indicate that, the simulation of indoor air flow and evaluation of thermal comfort in ITES is credible.In the following work, based on ITES, development energy simulation program, simulate and value thermal comfort and energy at the same time, providing a more scientific guidance for the design of indoor thermal environment; embedded GIS components, simulate and value thermal environment of a community or a city, providing a scientific scheme of community and urban planning.
