| Wiggins gas holders which use flexible rubber membrane sealing gas are widely used in metallurgy, petrochemical, wastewater treatment, city gas and other industries. With the rapid development of the national economy,small-capacity gas holders can not meet enterprises'needs, the trend of building larger gas holders has become increasingly clearly.Wiggins gas holders started late in China, we are lack of the theoretical research and design experience of high-capacity Wiggins gas holders. By comparative analysis about the structural behaviors of different gas holders,it can provide guidances for the design of gas holders,especially the strengthening improvements for high-capacity gas holders.Firstly, take four Wiggins gas holders of different capacities for study, analyze and compare the deformation and stress of the four gas holders under air pressure and wind load,as well as the deformation and internal force characteristics of the high-capacity holders.In addition,take the analysis about the impacts of the columns, circumferential ribs and wind corridors on the structural characteristics of different gas holders under air pressure and wind load,and thus proposed strengthening measures for the large gas holders.Secondly, take linear buckling analysis and nonlinear buckling analysis of the four counterroofs. By caculating and comparing the impact of different main girder stiffnesses, main girder numbers, roof thicknesses, rise-to-span ratios on the stability properties of the four counterroofs,it can provide proposals for larger gas holders. |
