The pneumatic control dock gate which is one kind of all docks is mainly used in dry docks. In recent years, many pneumatic control doors have been built successfully with the dock construction. The door is made to fall down or get up by compressed air of operating cabin. At present, it is designed according to the theory of the standard and relate criterion. However, the construction environment of the dork gate is more complicated, so the practical engine has brought forward higher request to the dock gate design. More and more engineering company has improved the design of the dock gate.Using the finite element to research the dork and the dork gate design has got attention by more and more engineers. The research work for the design provides effective supplementary, so it has important significance of the project.This article simplifies the dock gate to get the dock gate model using ANSYS 11.0. We analyze the structural strength of the dock gate under the worst hydrostatic pressure. We can get the von mises stress, thus we obtain the parts needed to pay attention to when we design the dock gate. To check the model and the method validity, we analyze the structural strength of the dock gate under another water line to get von mises stress. The results of two water lines present resemble disciplinarian. As to the importance of the meshing in the calculation, we mesh the modal using another method. The result is alike to the original analysis. So the meshing method of the original modal is reasonable. Through the analysis hereinafter, the results can apply reference during designing of the dock gate to ensure more and more reasonable and safe.
