Study On Beauty In Form Of Railway Station In Contemporary Era Of China

In China, the train is the most used means of transport, its importance is self-evident. As an important functional building, The railway station is a place that people stop waiting the train. From the design point of view, the features of the railway station is always the first. Each time the progress of rail transport technology will enable the layout and space patterns of the railway station change. It also forced the form of the railway station corresponding changes occur. Particularly at this time, since the new design concepts, management practices and the introduction of the concept of service to make the function and the form of the station take place great changes. Large space, large roof and large glass curtain wall has become a common feature throughout the new station. However, the function of pure substance doctrine is absolutely not create a completely satisfactory buildings, because there are many problems of pure functionalism can not give exact answers. Like many churches, the plan is similar, the shape are "established", but we appreciate those things which possess quality better than the "established" things, and we call it beauty. Aesthetic criteria determine the value of a major building.We focused on contemporary Chinese railway station formal beauty of architectural design. First of all, study and analyze the formal different of the three stages. Railway Station is a large space building, in the third chapter of the thesis, we study aesthetic system of the large space building to find out the aesthetic differences between the large space and small building. In the forth chapter of the thesis, we study the external form of Chinese railway station. In the fifth chapter of the thesis,we introduce some design methods of the internal space form in railway station. At last, we find out the shortage of railway station designing in our country and how to do the right design.
