Study On Meme Anallyzation In The Course Of Preservation And Renewal Of Five Old Street District

Inheritance of culture has become an important part of preservation and renewal of the historic district. Based on the theory of Meme, this paper reveals the cultural characteristics of the Five Old Street district by applying the meaning of Meme analyzation, and realizes the inheritance of culture by value evaluation and instruction of the planning and designing. This paper tries to offer the evidence and ways to the culture inheritance in the course of preservation and renewal as a reference.Firstly, according to the comparison of the development course of the historic district preservation and renewal in China and western countries, this paper displays the persistent, stability and universality of national culture and the particularity and complexity of that in China. Then, the concept of Meme was introduced, and the importance of that was expatiated by unscrambling the theory.Secondly, on the basis of analyzing the background of the formation of Five Old Street, by the meaning of Meme analyzation, the meme of this district was divided into four parts as historic humanistic, national character, architectural culture and environment temperament, and the characteristics, functions and manifestations of each part were parsed respectively to get the cultural characteristics and the key points to be inherited.Finally, under the instruction of the characteristics of Five Old Street, combining the practice of other similar cases, the new way of preservation and renewal was established, and the value evaluation, regulatory panning and urban designing was done. So, the whole course of Meme anallyzation culture characteristics obtaintion practice instruction culture inheritance had been realized finally.
