The Small Water-Plane-Area Twin Hull (SWATH) is a new type of ship which developed on the new technology, and adapted with the requirement of the Navy of China. The SWATH is a new type of ship, with some advantages of the Twin Hull ship and submarine. Because the SWATH is a new type of ship, reducing the noise is an important point of the design.FEM is used to analyze the structural numeral model and the dynamic response of the SWATH. The BEM is used to analyze acoustic radiation. Based on the theoretic analysis, SYSNOISE is used to calculate the structural-acoustic radiation of the SWATH, including two working stations: underwater and on the surface. The structure of the main housing is a major of all factors, which can influence the acoustic radiation. By the analysis of the dynamic response function and acoustic radiation function, the mold which aimed at the acoustic power sensitivity, is founded. In this paper, the structural-acoustic optimization's problem of the SWATH is solved by the way of the optimization of the main housing's size.In this paper, some works have been done as fellow:(1) Analyses of the structural-acoustic radiation of the SWATH.(2) The structural-acoustic optimization of the main housing.By the analysis of the radiation, the main characters of noise of the SWATH is been known; by the structural optimization of the main housing the structural-acoustic radiation is been improved.
