In the power system, current and voltage is the most direct parameters to reflect the situation of the power system. Accurate measurement of current is the basis of the grasping the power system information, regulation of energy of the power system and To improving the operation of power system. So current transformer in the power system is Indispensable.This paper discussed the current development stiuation of the current transformer and picked out the lack of the electromagnetic current transducers.With the development of China's power industry,it is very urgent to develop a new type of current transformer which is based on other working principle to meet the shortfalls of the electromagnetic current transducers in the current measurement.The study of Rogowski coil current transformer is an important research direction to solve these problems.This paper introduces the Rogowski coil current transformer which superior performance than the traditional electromagnetic transformers. In this paper, the working principle of the Rogowski coil current transformer is introduction in great detail. On this basis, this paper contained the parameter design of the Rogowski coil current transformer. The author also produced the test samples of the Rogowski coil current transformer which is used in measurement of the actual project. After that, the the performances of the samples of the Rogowski coil current transformer were tested to verify the affect of the parameters of the coil. The test proved that the designs of the the Rogowski coil current transformer is able to used in measuring instruments manufacturers.In onder to Improved performance of the Rogowski coil current transformer,this paper gived the new test programs. It also Provides the experimental basis and theoretical basis in the future.In the end, the author sums up the study works about the Rogowski coil current transformer and present the next research direction.
