With the rapid development of China's aircraft industry,the manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts are confronied with both opportunity and challenge. It has become a critical topic to improve management level and competitiveness of our manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts. The market competition is becoming fiercer and fiercer,and the individuality and diversity of consumers'demand is increasing,which induce manufacturers to speed up the renovation. And the production of the manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts is facing more new features and problems.For the continuous development of manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts, the production system is facing the multi-categories and cross-batch manufacturing environment within batch management. Firstly, because of the aircraft industry's special characteristics, there are very high requirements for aviation standard parts'performance and quality, and the production'organization and management must be based on the principle of synchronous furnace and common-batch manufacturing of batch management. The batch management of manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts has strict demands and restrictions. Because the aviation standard parts should keep the same materials, performance, quality and service life, the product's producing must be in common-batch with synchronous furnace original material, the same production equipments, and even the same group of workers.Secondly, aviation standard parts purchased in medium or small batch for the development aviation production. And the case-hardened product is purchased in mass batch. So manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts'is facing the feature of multi-item and cross-batch production, with medium, small and mass batch. The production's organization and management of the manufacturing enterprise of aviation standard parts is very complex in such manuf-acturing environment. And it is hard to improve the productive efficiency of the produc-tion system. So more and more enterprises Introduce cellular production to improve the market-changing adaptive capacity, the productive efficiency of production system, and shorten the time of production cycle and due dates.Based on summarizing the research and the development situation at home and abroad of cellular manufacturing, the process of multi-categories and cross-batch manufacturing enterprise's bringing out, the batch management and the current production situation are studied and analyzed in this paper. In connection with the condition of multi-categories and cross-batch produce, the manufacturing cell formation in manufacturing with limited manufacturing resources. And the information entropy was used to constructing evaluating indexes of reconfigurability of process of works. Based on the indexes, a manufacturing cell formation model is proposed. Secondly, a case of manufacturing cell formation in a multi-categories and cross-batch production enterprise, was studied by applying the model and Arena simulation software, and the improvement and optimization methods were proposed to enhance the production efficient of the workshop production system.
