With the development of society, people’s demand becoming more and morediversification and individuation, it makes the disadvantages of traditional PipelineProduction which rely on Mass Customization to reduce costs and improve the efficiencybecoming clearer. With the increase of labor costs, the concept of shojinka has beenpermeated all aspects of the business and became the main method for reducing costs. In thiscontext, Lean Production emerges as the times require, and Cell Production as a module ofLean Production, which is the product of developing Lean Production, has also beenwidespread concerned and utilized. This paper focus on the packaging line reconstruction, and using Cell Production basedon F Company’s demand of development. First, this paper made a detailed analysis about thedevelopment and trend of Cell Production based on the relevant domestic and internationalliterature, and introduced three forms of production, and according to the characteristics andapplication of Cell Production and Pipeline Production to compare the strengths andweaknesses of the two. Secondly, introducing the layout method of Cell Production, amongwhich focuses on the application of VBA programming language to solve the problem of cellformation, and reconstructing the packing line by Cell Production with A’s production status. Then, verifying the feasibility of reconstruction program by eM-Plant simulation software. Finally, implementing the reconstruction program, and listing the requirements of it, and thenusing Learning Curve to analysis the effect of training. This paper can provide reference forother companies which want to implement Cell Production.
