Auxiliary system of underground substation is essential for the safe operation of the master and important security of staff safety. Correct fault alarm in time in DTS of auxiliary system can provide the operator with direct and effective troubleshooting information, which prompts the operator to treatment the trouble as soon as possible. The coordinated operation of electrical and industrial support system is encountered first time domestic, it's also a blank at home and abroad. There's an urgent need to provide the staff of the underground substation with a full three-dimensional reality, realistic image of the auxiliary simulation system to improve their rapid decision-making ability when they face the accident. This paper takes auxiliary system of Shanghai 500kV underground substation as a prototype, Considering the large amount measurement points, complex faults, strict requirements for alarm monitoring and other characteristics, proposes a fault modeling method in DTS of auxiliary system. The new method analyzes the state failure and analog exception separately, and it's flexible and easy extensible. The main works in this dissertation are as follows:1. Counting, analyzing the equipment failure situation of underground substation auxiliary to find regular features as preparation for the construction of fault model. There are many types of equipments in underground substation auxiliary system. Different equipment has different faults, and different fault has different impact on the running situation of system. After analyzing, all the different faults in auxiliary system can be classified into state failure and analog exception. These two types can fully cover all the fault or abnormal affairs of all equipment and environment.2. State failure and analog exception are considered separately to build the models of two different kind faults in auxiliary system. The model of state failure is constructed according to equipment type. For each type, a failure class is build, the properties in the class are added to the equipment model as its status properties. The analog exception model is described by XML configuration file with the alarm rules and output results information. This fault modeling method has good generality. It is very flexible and easy to be extended.3. Different faults of different equipments have different impacts on the running of auxiliary system. These different effects are described through XML configuration file, which is independent and flexible to adapt to different responses for different faults. The fault alarm service and fault response service are independent from each other, which ensures the fault trigger mechanism and trigger time have no impact on the simulation system. As soon as there is a fault in the system, the simulation model can give the corresponding reaction, and alarm service can send alarm signal rapidly and correctly, prompting the operator to deal with the problem as quickly as possible.4. Completing an alarm service procedure, and testing the fault simulation result in DTS system through entire auxiliary system fault alarm, including failure trigger, fault alarm, failure elimination and failure elimination trips. Field test results show that the fault model and alarm implementation method can simulate all kinds of auxiliary system fault comprehensively, and give correct fault responses and alarm trips.
