In the recent years, all kinds of institutes have a more and more interesting in the factors impacting the service effect in port including truck dispatching, container stacking, ship dispatching, yard arranging, road layout etc. Usually, improving the efficiency of quay crane is the direct method to cut the berth time and upgrade the loading efficiency. However, the high efficient operation of truck is the guarantee for it. So the truck dispatching has been the research emphasis in this paper including the path and quantity of truck dispatching.Math model and simulation model is the two maim research method used in this thesis. With math equation, the complicated system of the port can be abstracted to quantifiable math model, helping us to get to the bottom of the logic relationship of the operation in port and is the foundation in the following to build up the simulation model. At the same time the theoretic preferential solution can help us to estimate the optimized potential which can be the important evaluate index of the real arithmetic. Simulation model make the logic relationship analyzed from math model visualized. The key point of the simulative experiment is how to express the math restriction with simulation languages, working out the proper quantity of the equipment, achieving the high efficiency operation in harbor. This paper adopts the software of Witness as the simulation tool and also get the forth port in shanghai as the research object. In the last, the paper demonstrates that the port can be worked efficient using the method provide in this thesis."Working-line"mode and"part working-area"mode are been used in the most of the ports. However"full working-area"mode will become the development direction in resolving the bottleneck of the port as it's high flexible. There are two innovations in this paper. The first one is"full working-area"mode provided in this paper can be the reference in truck dispatching to improve the work efficiency of port. The second one is the software of Witness has been applied in a new industry and provide a new research method for port optimization.
