Because the operators operate the machines improperly and the machines go wrong, thereare a lot of malfunctions in power plants. In order to avoid the things occur like that, with thesupport of computer simulation technology, the real-time simulation models of full workingscope of power plants can be set up, it has an important significance to train the operators. Based on the GISS2000 simulation system, and according to the design and thedebugging of the simulation model of LiGang power plant, the application of engineeringmodular modeling method and fluid network to the simulation of power plants are studied. Onthe basis of actual operation data and phenomena, the static and dynamic characteristics arestudied. The paper also discusses the simulation of the malfunctions which often occur in thelocale. The simulation results show that the models can correctly simulate the operationperformance of natural circulating boiler unit. With the support of GISS2000 simulationsystem, the author develops the real-time simulation model of the 350MW natural circulatingboiler unit, and the model is successfully put into use in the LiGang power plant.
