In steel building, the column base connection is one of the key parts that affects the main structure function, and plays an important role in determine the stability capacity of the structure. It transfers the column axial force, moment and shear to the foundation, keeping structure and foundation effectively connected. In engineering applications, the column base is simplified as an ideal model for pinned or fixed, but actually the column base connection should be semi-rigid connections.Simulate the flexural capacity and stiffness of the exposed-type column base connection, under various stiffener height, stiffener thickness, axial compression ratio, base plate thickness and so on. Column base connection model is established. Each parameter's influence degree of the function is Analyzed. And on the basis of the existing formula, considering the height and thickness of stiffener, sum up a formula of elastic stiffness consider of a new parameterα.
