Digital Substation Technology And Its Application

Today power system has developed into smart grid stage, which demands higher technology, automation, informatization and mutualism. Traditional transformer substation can not meet the needs of fast developing power system any more, but modern scientific technology, digitization technology, may help. Along with coming of age of electronic transducer, digital protective and monitoring device and computer networks, and promulgation of IEC61850 standard, digital transformer substation become feasible and may solve lots of problems in traditional transformer substation for the development of smart grid. This article has introduced the structure, composition, functional design and technique application feasibility of digital transformer substation. This paper focused on the following areas:We analyze and discusse the research and application associated with digital transformer substation, including technical theory, network technology, electronic transducer technology, smart switch technology and secondary equipment networking technology.Network frame connects smart electronics devices in digital transformer substation and is the basic of it. We study the network frame of digital transformer substation, raised basic functional and physical structure of network, and analyzed network traffic and bandwidth.Electronic transducer is important basic of digital transformer substation. We investigated several key problems, such as voltage switching/coordination, electric current, voltage vector testing, and coordination of electronic transducer and electromagnetic transformer, and raised solution. We also investigate secondary equipment networking technology, especially error-proofed technology and regulation rules and standards of digital transformer substation.At last, we analyze practical cases of digital transformer substation. We use the digital substation of Chenfu as an example and introduced practical application of digital transformer substation in detail, including design principle and device application. [12-15]...
