Asphalt mixture is widely-used in high-grade highway in china, and it demands further study of the mechanical properties of asphalt mixture with the aim of improve the safety and comfort of highway. Asphalt mixture pavement rutting is a permanent deformation and one of the main failure modes of the asphalt pavement. Hence, the study of the mechanisms and laws of the rutting formation and development based on experiment and numerical analysis is of important significance for rutting resistance, rutting prediction, life prediction and engineering management and maintenance of asphalt pavement.This paper determined the parameters in creep constitutive model of asphalt mixtures based on the creep and the basic mechanics experiment of seven-kind of gradation type asphalt mixture under different temperatures and loading conditions. Then, the asphalt mixture rutting test of three of them under 40℃and 60℃were carried on and the relation curves between rutting deformations and load duration were obtained. With the assumption that asphalt mixture is homogeneous material, the dynamic non-linear finite element method that can be used in the asphalt mixtures rutting analysis was given, and it proved to be valid through the comparison between the calculated and experimental results. Finally, the rutting deformations of the seven-kind of gradation type asphalt mixture under different loading conditions and temperatures was analyzed by the method and the influence law of loading, temperature and gradation on the rutting deformation was studied.
