At present,there are many kinds of test methods for studying asphalt mixture's rutting resistance performance.Rutting resistance performance of asphalt mixture is described by rutting test,single pnentration test and creep test and so on respectively from different aspects.The goal of this article is to put forward a reliable rutting resistance test method of high correlation with orther test methods by analyzing and comparing test results of different rutting resistance test of asphalt mixture.Once indicator in this reliable rutting resistance test method is suggested,it could be a reflection of other test results in a certain degree.Thus,it could be suggested as a method for guiding evaluation of rutting resistance performance of asphalt mixture.In order to achieve the aim mentioned above,relying on highway reconstruction project in Shi Jiazhuang-An Yang and ring expressway loop project in Nairobi of Kenya,wheel tracking test(plate specimens),static and dynamic creep test as well as single penetration test(cylindrical specimens)were conducted on eleven types of asphlat mixture respectively by means of domestic rut-meter,SPT basic performance tester and MTS.Besides,HWTD(cylindrical specimens)was also be researched.Under standard test conditions,correlation between rutting resistance indicators of all kinds of tests was analyzed.Taking eleven types of asphlat mixture into consideration,s/FT was suggested as an indicator to evaluating rutting resistance performance under SPT Static Creep standard test hypothetical condition of 40?,0.1MPa,and 100mm*100mm specimens size.By changing test conditions,correlation of indicators combined with s/FT were wholely increased to different degrees respectively under conditions of 60?,0.1MPa,and 100mm*100mm specimens size and 40?,0.1MPa,and 100mm*148mm specimens size.Especially under SPT Static Creep test condition of 40?,0.1MPa,and 100mm*148mm specimens size,correlation between s/FT and other rutting resistance performance indicators reached the best,so,it was of high reliability to evaluating rutting resistance performance under this condition.
