The problem of energy shortage in China is very serious now, the sustainable of architectural design has become a priority , Chinese Architecture Design industry must take strong measures to deal with them. Sustainable Architecture is an attempt of building design,construction and maintenance , so the environmental consequences by architecture are minimized in some extent. The most important feature of sustainable architecture is the efficient use of energy, reduce energy consumed throughout the life cycle of building.In the process of description by the traditional 2D CAD technology, the construction of plan and elevation, as well as detailing are separated from the design, and the problem of time-consuming and error appear often, so it is difficult to accurately describe in detail in architectural form; Three-dimensional Building Information Model BIM-centric technology is no longer a low-level geometric drawing tools, the operation of the object is no longer simple geometric objects such as a point, line, round, but the walls, doors, windows and other parameters of building components. Elevation,profile and even detailing can be automatically created, so it is able to carry out all aspects of architectural design detailed description, thus a description of the ideal tool for architectural design. Meanwhile, in detailing the basis of describing the construction, BIM technology to provide various forms of interfaces, which can be docked together with a variety of analysis software to carry out building performance analysis, to achieve a sustainable architectural design.In this paper, 000PK which is the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction, application and demonstration of renewable energy construction projects, as the research object. In the technical details with the BIM model, overall description and detailing description of key technologies are made on the demonstration project, for the description problem arising in the process, combined with 2D CAD technology to model a description of the building, then compare the two in practice of the advantages and disadvantages. At the same time, focus on BIM technology and other building performance analysis software co-docking process, summarized a series of design strategy which has a guiding significance to sustainable building design.The starting point of this study stems from the architectural design of the new method and the concern for sustainable building design. In the use of modeling and quantitative methods, the conclusion not only has ecological significance, but also provided a new ideas and inspiration for the architecture creation.
