As the pioneer of building information technology construction,building information modeling has been widely used in the field of engineering construction because of its characteristics of parameters,visualization,collaboration,modeling and data exchange.Prefabricated buildings are factory prefabricated and on-site assembled buildings.Prefabricated steel structures have the advantages of pollution-free environment,high seismic performance,high degree of industrialization,environmental protection and energy conservation,short construction period and so on,At present,it is the mainstream of policy publicity and formulation in China.At present,the development of prefabricated buildings in China,as a result of the deepening of BIM Technology,the construction of steel structure and its promotion to demonstration projects seem to be in the future development direction.(1)By analysing the national "14.5-year plan" based on literature research and research and the excellent case of combining BIM technology and prefabricated construction,this contribution leads to the advantages and requirements of BIM technology in the field of prefabricated steel construction,and then introduces the design process of prefabricated steel structure construction based on BIM.(2)By analyzing the design process of fabricated steel structure based on BIM Technology,this paper points out the collection,optimization and sharing measures of fabricated component modeling information,especially the establishment way of standardized family library and the beneficial effect on the whole fabricated building modeling.(3)Through the application of Bim in a fabricated school project,this paper focuses on the unique advantages of BIM Technology in the aspects of overall structure design,complex node design and collision inspection,and puts forward the application direction and optimization idea of BIM Technology in the field of fabricated steel structure,which provides a direction for the design and construction of subsequent similar projects.
