There are two or more than two sets of dynamic system in hybrid cars interior. The instruments in traditional cars have been difficult to meet the needs of hybrid cars'information display. With the concept of intelligent transportation being put forward, the future instruments of cars will become vehicle-mounted comprehensive information platform. Nowadays, with the rapid development of embedded system, the implementation of hybrid on-board information system has hardware and software foundation in the future. The main content of this topic is that it designed a HEV vehicle mounted information system solution based on embedded system. Therefore, the main study contents of this paper is given as follows:Firstly, a overall design scheme of embedded vehicle information system based on S3C2410 microprocessor which produced by SAMSUNG is proposed. Then, the basic functions of the system are introduced. In order to estimate the residual capacity of hybrid cars'battery pack, the method based on kalman filtering is proposed after analyzing the existing battery capacity estimation algorithm. The simulation results show that the algorithm is better than the traditional estimation algorithm and the estimation accuracy is more accurately.Secondly, the hardware and software of embedded hybrid cars on-board information system have been designed. In the hardware design, some peripheral circuits are designed, including memory module, man-machine interface module, the CAN bus communication module, serial interface module, GPS navigating module interface, etc. In software, the development platform which cross- compiled the embedded software has been built. After customizing embedded Linux kernel, creating the operating mirror for the system and transplanting it to hardware memory module, the OS layer design has been completed at the same time. Then, in order to show the vehicle state parameter, the liquid crystal display interface is designed based on the QT/Embedded technology and the application development has been completed through the modularized design method.Finally, with applications being downloaded to embedded system for on-line debugging, the application layer design has been completed. After hardware and software comprehensive debugging, testing results are given. The results show that the functions are basically achieved which are designed before. Along with experiments to prove it works, the scheme of embedded hybrid cars on-board information system has certain practical significance to the development of vehicle information system.
