Dumper is an efficient uninstalling equipment ,mainly used for uninstalling bulk materials which are in uncovered wagon at the ports. The traditional dumper rotor of two fulcrum have a large spacing between one side ring of the rotor and another,which lead to a large distortion in the middle of the main beam in the course of dumper working.The large distortion of the main beam will lead to a series of problems,such as stress concentration of the joints of rings and beams, plastic distortion of the rings,pinion and gear not meshing normally,which are seriously affecting the life of dumper.In this paper ,dumper rotor of FZ3-3 type is the reserch object,doing finite element static intensity analysis of the rotor by using ANSYS software. Design concept of the third ring is proposed which is based on the original structure,and the flexible support system of the middle ring is designed. Finally, finite element static intensity analysis of the structure of three ring dumper rotor are done by using ANSYS software.It is proved that three ring dumper rotor is a more optimal structure through comparative analysis between the original structure and the improved structure.First,the model of dumper rotor is established in ANSYS environment,and static intensity analysis of dumper rotor in five load cases is done,and then maximum stress and maximum deformation position in different load cases are found.Second, Design concept of increasing the middle ring in the middle of dumper rotor and flexible support system is proposed,and mechanics model of dumper rotor is simplified,and then support reaction of the middle ring is calculated through the principle of superposition of simple beam.The leverage system of the flexible support system is designed and checked according to support reaction. Hydraulic cylinder of the flexible support system is designed and hydraulic system diagram is studied out. Finally, the model of three ring dumper rotor is established in ANSYS environment, and static intensity analysis of the dumper rotor in the same load cases is done, and then maximum stress and maximum deformation position in different load cases are found. It is proved that the maximum stress and the maximum displacement of the model of the three ring dumper rotor in all load cases are reduced by comparing with the original structure. The distortion of the main beam is reduced and the life of the dumper is extended.
