Gears and gear drive as essential common connection and transmission of power components in machinery and equipment,it has been widely used in mechanical equipment. As high performance, high strength, high reliability and relatively low cost requirements, in past decades, the theoretical analysis in gear, besides applied mathematics, mechanics, materials and design theory of new achievements, another prominent progress is the attention and further development of gear test technology. The further development and solving the problems of gear drive, heavily depend on the application of advanced test technology.Based on the gear drive performance index and gear test apparatus type, this paper puts forward a gear drive test system for comprehensive performance, and developing open power test-bed for the gear test of transmission efficiency, loading capacity, temperature, vibration and noise, etc.Major contents of the thesis as follows:①Analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of open power Test-bed, mechanical closed Test-bed and electric closed transmission test-bed, introduces common performance testing content and testing principle of gear and gear drive, laying the foundation For the gear drive test system design.②A kind of comprehensive performance test system for gear drive is proposed, and carrying out research on its function realization and overall scheme design. According to the expected test object's maximum power and torque, choosing test driver device and loading devices for test-bed; and other corresponding test instrument for building the gear drive comprehensive performance test-bed.③According to performance requirements of the test system, design the integral structure scheme of the test system; and structural analysis for the key components of the test-bed, reaching the goal performance request for the test-bed.④The generating of vibration and noise and their transmission path of gear drive are studied, the vibration signal form of gear drive is theoretically analyzed, and the corresponding vibration and noise test module for testing system is configurated.⑤To vibration and noise test for example, using the B&K test system platform, the vibration and noise test of a type of auto transmission is conducted in different conditions; analyzing test data by using dynamic analysis software and spectrum analysis technology, providing identification test basis for vibration and noise source of gear drive. Through the practical engineering test, verifying the feasibility of performance test for gear drive in the developed test system.
