Southwest mountainous cities form is affected by many kinds of natural elements and artificial factors. Natural elements include mountain, rivers, weather, artificial elements include urban structure, green space system, regional environment, etc. Because of the effect by these elements, mountainous cities form in southwest China show unique spatial characteristics and trends of development.Mountain environment is one of the main factors, effecting mountain cities form in southwest China. Mountain environment mainly influence city form through mountain terrain properties, environmental geological properties and ecological attributes. These three technical properties make the southwest mountainous cities unique form characteristics, by influencing urban location, general layout, land expansion.As the development of the economy in southwest, and level of understanding to mountain environment, mountain environment changed its role. On one hand, the complex terrain and geological characteristics restrict the urban construction land development, still influence the modern mountainous cities construction; On the other hand, the ecological attribute of mountain environment has be known gradually, it has playing a very important role in urban ecological security and green system component.So it is necessary to study the interaction law between urban form and the mountain environment, making mountain environment play a more active role in mountainous cities development in southwest, in the future.This paper mainly studies the relationship of mountainous cities form and mountain environment in southwest. Benign development countermeasures for urban form in mountain environment were put forward. Paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter 1.Firstly expounds the origin of this study, study of purpose and meaning. Second illustrates the concept of southwest, mountain environment, urban form, and mountain cities, summarizing domestic and foreign related researches, putting forward the research methods and framework.Chapter 2, the mountain environment and cities form technical association. Contents include: interactive mechanism of mountain environment and city form, mountain environmental influence on urban development and the environmental impact of mountain city morphological characteristics. Mountain environment through the topography, geology and ecological attributes directly affect the city construction site selection, overall layout, land expansion; Science and technology, economic development and social culture promote the fusion of urban form and mountain environment.Chapter 3, the evolution of mountainous cities form and the role change of mountain environment. First summarizes three stages of the evolution of mountainous cities form——" across wall -- across water -- across mountain"; And then summarizes mountainous cities plane form types in different development stages and the function structure; Finally explains the change of mountain environmental role and some problems about mountain environment.Chapter 4, the interaction of mountain environment and mountainous cities form. This chapter based on mountain environment, puts forward mountain environment and city form benign interaction countermeasures from mountain natural texture, mountain ecological green land, mountain open space, and mountain landscape.Chapter 5, the integrated relationship of mountainous cities form and mountain environment. This paper firstly analyzes the technical premise of the form fusion, then analyzes urban traffic, urban construction, three-dimensional space utilization, puts forward corresponding strategy and technology.Chapter 6, firstly Summarizes the trend of mountain environment influence to mountainous cities form in southwest China, and the trend of mountainous cities positive interaction with mountain environment.
