The short-range missile and artillery cooperative air defense has become one of the most important ways in modern air defense, so to study the process of missile-artillery cooperation air defense and to optimize it is of significant implication for the improvement of air defense effectiveness.The paper first describes the air defense process of short-range missile systems defense, artillery systems, missile-artillery integration system, and missile-artillery cooperation system respectively. Then these four processes are modeled by using the hierarchy color Petri net (HCPN) , coupled with the active model IDEF (ICAM DEFintion method).Though analyzing the HCPN model of short-range missile weapon air defense and artillery weapon air force, the state reachability graph for their hierarchy model and the state space reports are obtained and summarized. The properties of the established air defense model, like its reachability and activity, are analyzed.The simulation of the HCPN models of missile- artillery integration air defense and missile-artillery cooperation air defense is being conducted, from which the response time, the target damage probability and the operation parameters that affect target damage probability of the operation channel of two operation models under different initial conditions are obtained. The simulation results show that integration air defense can reduce the response time of operation channel and increase target damage probability. In the end of paper some operation parameters are modified and some thoughts about optimization of air defense process are given with the analysis of simulation data.The analysis in this paper provides an assessment method based on HCPN to assess the design of missile- artillery cooperation operation process, the system composition and configuration, the operation capability, etc. The paper is of some reference value for researches in future.
