The switched reluctance motor drive system (SRD for short),as a new drive system with high performances, has attracted more and more peoples' concern, and become a hot research subject. This paper uses an 0.75KW four-phrase 8/6 pole SRM as the research object , completes the research and design of the drive system. The paper firstly introduces SRD researches at home and abroad, then describes the basic structure of the system, working principles and its characteristics. Based on the SRM's ideal linear model, the motor's flux, current, torque and other parameters has been analysed. At the same time, the impact factors of each parameter has been summed up.finally,a method of control for this drive system has been made. The drive system's power conversion chooses splitting DC power converter structure, the main switching device selects MOSFET, the driving device selects IR2110,the controller chip selects TI's TMS320F2812 DSP.After the relevant parameters analysis and calculation, the peripheral hardware detection, protection and control circuits has been designed. This system takes full advantages of the controller TMS320F2812's resources to make the system compact and high reliability. The system control software is designed in the Keil C development environment and using C language to complete every work function compiling and debugging. The system control algorithm selects traditional PID.At the same time, the paper has studied the fuzzy self-tuning PID algorithm.Under the Matlab/Simulink environment, the simulation results indicate that the effect of fuzzy self-tuning PID algorithm is indeed superior to the traditional PID algorithm. The result shows that this system is reliable and stable, the control strategy and control algorithm is correct, the drive system finally reaches the target requirements.
