The reactive power in power grid transmission can lead to power loss and electric energy utilization rate is greatly reduced. It seriously affects the quality of power supply. So the need for reactive power compensation device is very essential. Because the traditional hardware electronic circuits consisting of reactive power compensation device reliability, accuracy is not high, the reactive power compensation effect is not ideal. In order to overcome these shortcomings, based on the control mode and switching mode of optimization, this paper aims to improve.In switching mode, the system uses a controller to control the thyristor switched capacitor (TSC).It basically solves the previous switching AC contactor arcing even often sintering without damage to the adverse circumstances. The switching device choose thyristor and diode to reverse parallel, as long as the capacitor input in the power supply peak, the thyristor cut off at current zero automatically. Both capacitors input and cut will not produce impact current and over voltage. The control is simple. The capacitor without discharge can put back. So it realizes the capacitor the frequent switching.The control method is based on the reactive power and voltage and uses intelligent coding switch. It can avoid switching shocks. Code switching is in accordance with the 8421 coding rule. The selection of capacity of capacitor is doubled to coding. Trough different combinations it can be greatly increased capacity series. Due to multiple stages, it can achieve accurate compensation quickly and accurately.This paper researches and designed an intelligent reactive compensation simulation device. The system uses embedded microprocessor ARM7 as system control unit. It improves data process greatly. Especially in the multi task system, the high-performance of STM32F103RBT6 chip can meet the demands of speed and accuracy to schedule a variety of tasks. The paper designs all the hardware circuit of the intelligent reactive power compensation device. According to the hardware circuit, the paper gives the corresponding software flow chart.
