In recent years, with the rapid development of our country economy, the demand ofelectricity will long-term maintain rapid growth, new power distribution unit are beingconstantly builded in many areas of the country. Substation is an important part of the powersystem, study and analysis the design of smart substation systematic, to the construction of smartsubstation has great significance.Firstly, the article briefly describes the background of the development of smart grid,andanalyzes of the problems of conventional substation, describes the advantages of thedevelopment of smart substation, and studies and analyzes the key technology of smartsubstation, including smart transformers, electronic transformers, smart switch, IEC61850standards, and networking and communications technology.Secondly, in this paper the specific circumstances of RiZhao regional power grid, the newproject of RiZhao regional Zhu110kV substation as the basis intelligent design the substation.Including the design of once part and the second part of the substation, once part includes themain electrical wiring, short-circuit current calculation, electrical equipment, lightning protectionand grounding, power stations and lighting.The second part includes system protection,automated scheduling system, the station communication systems.According to the actualsituation of the project, I mainly intelligent design and optimise the electronic transformer andsecondary equipment.Finally, to the electronic transformer and some secondary intelligent device configuration,briefly analyzes the feasibility and reliability, Rogowski coil electronic transformer can meetintelligent digital electrical substation measurement systems, high precision measurement ofelectrical quantities such as the current collection requirements, can improve the reliability ofprotection and fast of the station. Rogowski coil electronic transformer is currently the mostwidely used and most technologically sophisticated type, the lowest failure rate, the highestreliability in several electronic current transformers. And point out the impact of the electronictransformer to the secondary system, and give out countermeasures.With the development planning of smart grid,smart substation has beening constructed allover the country.The various associated equipment manufacturing will also get the rapiddevelopment,many kinds of intelligent electrical equipment will gradually develop,providestrong support for the development and construction of smart grid and smart substations.
