Along with the rapid development of society and economy, China’s automobile industry also achieved rapid development. Domestic car ownership has broken through200million, which brings new challenges to the supervision and management of traffic. Traffic violations, traffic congestion and other problems have been increasing, how to deal with these problems actively and effectively becomes an important problem to solve of the transport sector. Intelligent Transportation System is considered as one of the preferential choices to solve traffic problems in the future. Advanced Traffic Manage System, a main subsystem of Intelligent Transportation System, which would solve traffic problems effectively, becomes a hotspot of research and application in recent years.Monitoring Bayonet System is a kind of Advanced Traffic Manage System, which aims at monitoring and managing road traffic and providing comprehensive service information for transportation manager. Firstly this article introduces the development situation and related knowledge of Intelligent Transportation and Data Mining. Then, makes an analysis based on the application requirement of Monitoring Bayonet System of the vast historical traffic data using techniques of Data Mining, and achieves some targeted, valuable analysis results, which provides strong support for traffic management and supervision. In summary, the main work of this article includes three respects:(1) Designed three algorithms for mining vast traffic data basing on the application requirements of Monitoring Bayonet System, which aim at solving the problems of region relevance analysis, fake plate automatic detecting and car-following analysis.(2) Make an analysis of traffic flow from multiple angles and generate detailed report forms, and use visualized method to demonstrate the analysis results dynamically. Accomplish related development on iPlat platform.(3) Using Data Mining techniques for Monitoring Bayonet System construction to provide reliable and usable information services, which improved traffic management mode and efficiency.
