Relying on the relevant research projects, this test-based thesis combined with theoretical analysis and finite element simulation to test the static and dynamic characteristic parameters of the bearing commonly used in machine tools’feed system. In addition, by using part of the test results, it calculated the static rigidity of feed system, and carried out the simulation and testing of the system’s dynamic characteristics.It analyzed the structural features of the 60°ngular contact ball bearing, discussed the principle and method of measuring the bearing’s static rigidity on the basis of the existing bearing test device, discussed the test results, and obtained 480 sets of effective data. Moreover, it studied the rule of axial load and other factors’influence on rigidity, and compared the static rigidity of domestic and overseas bearings with same specification.It established the general mechanical model and mathematic model for calculating the static rigidity of numerically controlled machine tools’feed system, calculated the static rigidity of MCH63 machining center’s horizontal feed system, and studied the relationship between the bearing’s static rigidity and the feed system’s static rigidity. In addition, it designed the plan and device of measuring the static rigidity of MCH63’s feed system, and through calculation and analysis, checked the key parts in the system.Based on the principle of spring damping, it established the 60°ngular contact ball bearing’s dynamically equivalent model and dynamic parameter identification model, determined the principle and method of measurement, built the test system, wrote the specific parameter identification program by using MATLAB, and obtained more than 180 sets of dynamic characteristic parameters after numerous tests. Moreover, according to the principle of least square method, it fitted the data relating to the bearing’s axial dynamic rigidity and damping, and obtained the corresponding fitted curves.It made the three-dimension solid modeling for MCH63 machining center’s Z-direction double-drive feed system, established the feed system’s finite element analytical model considering the characteristics of joint surface, carried out modal simulation by using the bearing’s dynamic characteristic parameters obtained by testing, gained the feed system’s frequency and array of each order, and studied the relationship between bearing parameter and system modality. By using hammering method, it conducted modal tests to the Z-direction double-screw-drive feed system, and the test results turned out to be consistent with the simulation.The research results preliminarily show that the principle of measuring the angular contact ball bearing’s static and dynamic rigidity and damping is basically right, that the measurement method is reasonable, and that the obtained static and dynamic characteristic data of the bearing is truthful. The study provides basic data support to the characteristic database of bearing surface, and can serve as reference to the static analysis and modal analysis of the feed system.
