In order to meet the production requirements of a Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd, improve the25m3large mining shuttle car’s problem of long body, complex structure, large weight, time-consuming on operation and maintenance, badly worn on sprocket, high energy-consuming, etc, optimize its structure and parameters,Based on the corresponding codes and standards sprocket wheel is designed, analyzed and calculated(1) Based on the Solidworks software, three-dimensional of the25m3large shuttle car entity design were accomplished, the elements were showed to have reasonable structure and have been assembled correctly. Based on the Solidworks software and3DMAX software,Assembly process animation and working situation animation were accomplished.Based on the working condition of the scraper conveyer of shuttle car,the motion simulation was made,it shows the law of velocity and acceleration,provides direction for subsequent optimization.(2) In order to reduce energy consumption of shuttle car, analysis and calculation of the relevant parameters of the scraper transport operators,the mathematical model with minimum motor power for the objective function was established,based on normal transport and invariable loading, using Matlab to conduct parameter optimization,it shows the law of Carriage height,Body width,lenth between scrapers,the velocity of chain between the power of motor. The result shows the power of motion has fallen1.6735kw,down by4%.(3) In orde to avoid pitting corrosion occurred on matrix local surface of sprocket wheel, result from the unique structure of sprocket wheel, the condition of Low speed and heavy load, complex stress. The Contact analysis of sprocket whee has done in Ansys workbench software,it shows the law of equivalent stress and contact stress, contact stress reach1333.IMPa,closed to ultimate strength.then,optimize the dimensions of sprocket by taking the maximum contact stress for objective function, obtain a set of parameters with the best tooth surface arc radius Re, tooth groove arc radius Ri, tooth groove angle a, and the axial tooth profile chamfer width ba.the result shows the maximum contact stree is1034MPa,down by22.45%.
