With many working conditions and structural parameters of All terrain crane, the traditional design method can not meet the requirements of the design accuracy and design period, Finite element analysis has become an effective method for the structural design of this type boom. The boom structure finite element modeling is the essential part in all terrain crane boom structure FEM.Lots of structure parameters and working conditions leads to very complex in the finite element modeling. In order to quickly and accurately model the all-terrain crane boom structure, This paper studies the rapid modeling techniques of all terrain crane boom structure based on object-oriented programming techniques.This paper presents a programming module modeling method of complex structure of combination boom adopting the object oriented programming method, and based on this method, the finite analysis system of all terrain crane boom structure is formed, realizing the single working condition analysis, batch analysis of all working conditions and output analysis report. Using this method,the lifting capacity of boom structure is inversed, and based on the VBA macro program the corresponded module is written, the lifting performan sheet output program of all terrain crane is formed.The main contents of this paper include the following three aspects:(1) The object-oriented modular programming for the all terrain crane boom structure modeling system. For each structure component of all terrain crane boom system, component data are encapsulated using Visual Basic object-oriented programming techniques. Finally boom structural components are assembled to complete modeling of various combinations of the boom structure.(2) The boom model data package is written in ANSYS analysis of command based on the Structure finite element analysis method using the APDL language of ANSYS, To realize the parameterized modeling and batch analysis function.(3) The report is generated based on office automation technology usingVBA technology. The resulting data is extracted and output to documents of the lift-capacity sheet and the calculation report which are provided to Designers and users.The feasibility of the method in this paper is proved by comparing the calculated results and the measurement result of the company, although some deficiencies need to be improved. The method afford a reliable way to explore the rapid and accurate design method of all terrain crane boom structure.
