Based on the energy conservation and recycling as the goal, this paper used computer simulation software as a means to analysis the recovery of the forklift gravitational potential energy and the braking energy. In view of the forklift truck hydraulic system, we redesign and research on the energy saving system, in order to explore the principle of energy recycling method by joining the components of hydraulic transformer. This paper conducted the following research work.At first, this paper, based on the traditional forklift drive system, has set up a saving energy transmission system for the forklift circuit, and establish the components model of the system. Through the analysis of the main components, we selected the corresponding simulation model in the simulation software of AMESim.Second, selected and calculated the main components of the accumulator and the hydraulic transformer in the forklift potential energy recovery module, set the potential energy recovery system schematic diagram, and analyzed the working principle of the system. Then analyze the braking principle of forklift as well as the process of the braking energy regeneration system, combined with the principle diagram of the regenerative braking.Finally, set up simulation model of forklift potential energy recycling and braking energy regeneration system in simulation software AMESim. Through the simulation analysis and calculation, in the light of the potential energy and braking energy recycling of the article, it is better for recycling effect to set initial volume to 30 L and prefilled accumulator pressure to 2.2 MPa, and the effective volume of the accumulator is used and the system pressure is within the scope of the maximum working pressure. Taking 5 t forklift truck as an example, this paper compared the energy recycling effect As for the potential energy recycling, by adjusting the appropriate way of transformer ratio changes, it can maximize the recovery of energy. This paper concludes that the potential energy recovery rate is 65.1%. As for the braking energy recycling, energy recovery rate can reach 77.9%. We can find that the potential energy and braking energy recycling are 2.1 times and 1.7 times respectively with hydraulic transformer than that without the hydraulic transformer. It can be concluded from the data of the article that by adopting the energy conversion components of hydraulic transformer, it has great effects on the recycling efficiency. The energy-saving effect is obvious.
