In twenty-first Century,the logistics industry has entered the era of high-speed development,and it has put forward more and more requirements for logistics equipments.As one of the core handling equipments in the logistics industry,forklift trucks are unable to meet the growing demands for the performance.Electric forklift is widely used for its high efficiency,no pollution,small vibration,low noise and other outstanding advantages.Although significant breakthroughs have been made in work efficiency,ergonomics,and safety performance,the working time for a single charge and single charge time are far from the expected requirements because of the technology limit of the battery.It's very frequent for Electric forklift,as a handling equipment,to lift and drop cargos.In each fall,it releases great potential.If this part of energy can be recovered and utilized effectively,it can further prolong the endurance of the electric forklift and achieve the purpose of saving energy.Supercapacitor,as a new type of energy storage equipment,has the outstanding advantages of high power density,high efficiency,high current capacity,high service life and etc,which provides favorable conditions for the potential energy recovery as an energy storage equipment.This paper studies the potential energy recovery system of electric forklift based on supercapacitor-battery composite energy storage,make it possible to convert cargo potential energy into electrical energy stored and used again.It can enhance the endurance of the electric forklift,improve the acceleration performance of the lift and prolong the service life of the battery.Combined with the actual operating conditions and energy saving requirements of electric forklift,the paper studies the scheme of potential energy recovery system based on dual energy,including the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the supercapacitor,the selection of the application topology,the retrofit the decline of the oil road,design of the auxiliary and main module of the potential energy recovery system,the control methods and strategies that ensure the efficient recovery and use of potential energy and guarantee the good operating performance of the electric forklift after the use of the potential energy recovery system.Finally,the potential energy recovery system is installed on the ADD20 electric forklift to test and debug.The test proofs that this scheme can effectively recover the potential energy with more than 30%efficiency.In cargo lifting,the system can rationally use the energy reclaimed and the supercapacitor can replace the battery to output the high power current at the start of lifting.In addition,the battery protection function of the potential energy recovery system was preliminarily tested.The test results show that the potential energy recovery system has a certain gain for the service life of the battery and the work time for a single charge.
