This paper mainly expounds the research situation, development direction and application in the actual production process about three dimensional design method at home and abroad.On this basis, with the weight of 20 t crane hook group as an example to illustrate the process of three dimensional design. For hook’s group parts, design more complicated, the difficulty of assembly and other characteristic, this paper propose to the design scheme about design,three-dimensional modeling, engineering analysis and two-dimensional engineering graphics of hook group.First, we should select and design the structure of each component of the hook group,Including the selection of type and material, the determination of size parameters, the determination of main stress section size, the section of main calculating stress.Secondly,according to the size we design the three-dimensional modeling of every parts of the hook in the Solidworks2012 and for the hook body of main mechanical parts hook as engineering analysis;Finite element model of hook is established in the Solidworks Simulation, static analysis was carried out on the hook body, whether it can meet the demands of strength, If it is not,we need to modify the size of the parts and then analyze it again, until meet the strength requirements, and then we assemble the every parts of the hook to establish the three-dimensional model of hook.Thirdly, on the basis of the three-dimensional model of hook group in Solidworks2012,by setting the view, templates, attributes, and adding the information needed to meet the standards of engineering drawings, We can convert three-dimensional model into two-dimensional engineering drawings that it can directly referred to processing and then carry on the processing.Finally, we found a kind of design method from the three-dimensional modeling to engineering analysis, and then to the two-dimensional engineering drawings,it is the opposite of the traditional design.For the implementation of three-dimensional designing of parts andtwo-dimensional engineering graphics technology in the three-dimensional modeling software Solidworks, to improve the quality of the design parts,shorten the production cycle and reduce the design cost of mechanical has obvious superiority.The integration, simple operation, high efficiency of modeling, engineering drawing standards, stronger practicability of design analysis software provides a convenient and fast way for the research and development of new products.
