A Study On The Design Of Outdoor Playground For Children 's "Naughty Valley"

The famous Chinese scholar Mr. Liang Qi chao once said if children are strong, the nation will be powerful, if children thrive, the nation will prosper. The idea is that children are the future of a nation. Our cities grow fast, the parents have no time for their children because they are busy themselves with their own jobs and career so the blood tie has become frigid, children become lonely and shut off from the outside world. Children differ greatly from adults in psychology. Even with things as simple and banal as water, mud, stone it is possible to indulge children in games because they are happy and pure in their mind. We must set free the natural inclination of children and to allow them to enjoy the sunshine, to keep them away from the game machines and to release them from a heavy learning burden and thus to enable them to grow healthy both mentally and physically. All these are the starting point for designing the concept being introduced.The article describes at first the backgrounds and the source of the subject. The youth park is designed according to the special features of the movement of youth and the functions are divided into sections so that different needs of the children for movement or exercise can be met. At the close of the article the designing methods for youth parks are depicted and the development trends of children recreation are scrutinized in order to better suit the needs of children.
