The technology of virtual instrument, as one of important parts of information technology, has great value to technical study. It breaks through the limits of traditional instrument technology in such fileds as data acquisition and data peocessing. So, how to take advantage of it better deserves careful study.In this thesis, combined with the virtual instrument technology and motor testing technology, a brushless DC motor speed parameter measurement system based on virtual instrument technology is designed and developed. The system can real-timely collect data of motor speed parameter under the condition of wide range and high precision. At the same time, it can achieve some goals to the experimental data as analysis, processing and saving.In this paper the main research content is as follows:At first, the paper detailedly introduces the hardware structure of virtual instrument, analyses the basis of the hardware platform of virtual instrument and the characteristics of a varirty of software development platforms. From the side of the intended function should be achieved of the system, it puts forward the general hardware and software structure as a whole of the testing system based on virtual instrument technology.Then, the digital speed measuring method--M-method, T-method and M/T-method are introduced in detail, including the principle, scope of application and advantages of the measuring method. Then according to the requirements of the system, wide speed range and high precision, the paper discuss the merits and drawbacks of the original speed measuring method, and on this basis puts forward an improved measuring method.In the end, according to the design plan, the paper builts an testing platform. From the experimental results, the accuracy of the system is proved, and the testing system achieves its intended design requirement. At the same time, the improved measuring method is reasonable and feasible on the basis of experimental verification.
