Study On Water Resources Management In Yinchuan City

The history of human civilization and society is entwined with the history of water manipulation. With the progress of industrialization and urbanization, the demand for water is soaring during recent years and nearly reach the limitation, which in turn leads to the imbalance between water supply and demand and finally contribute to unsustainable development.As one of the crucial elements of public management, water management may exert great influence on economic and environmental development.This essay applies Yinchuan, a city which is suffering from water shortage and lower water efficiency, as the example to analyze current water management in our country.During recent years, water problems have restricted social and economic development in Yinchuan to a great extent. To improve regional water efficiency, enhance the progress of building water-saving and water-friendly city, Yinchuan city has made plenty of changes by establishing relevant department, legislation, and optimizing water distribution,which boost the sustainable development while preserve regional environment and resources.Under the theory of sustainable development and public property management, this essay focuses on the current situation of water usage in Yinchuan and try to analyze the policies adopted through documents study.field survey and comparative analysis. Meanwhile, this paper explores different water management approaches between our country and abroad to extract efficient methods for reference. Finally, corresponding policies are referred in this article to meet the current water problems in Yinchuan.The significance of water management research lies in two aspects:first, urging the government to adopt more efficient measures and providing plausible methodology to meet domestic water crisis;Second, offering cases for counterpart cities to use for reference when needed. The innovation of this study about Yinchuan water resources management, which is proposed in the paper, is that the cross sector comprehensive law enforcement, the joint meeting system, the development of water recycling economy based on water rights trading and so on.
