Development Of 5.8 Mm Projectile Projectile

The development work of the 5.8 mm armor-piercing bullet has been carried out in this paper, in order to promote the 5.8 mm caliber bullet series development, further tap the potential of small caliber bullets, and improve armor piercing power of the small caliber bullet. Following the bullet design procedures, the overall design of the 5.8mm armor-piercing bullet has been finished according to the tactical index requirements, and the structure scheme of the bullet has been carried out. Aiming at the problems such as the lack of power and the difficulty of shooting accuracy in the development process, the design optimization and key technology research were implemented, and the technical problems has been solved. Based on analysis of material, technology and safety, the armor-piercing component and the primer were identified as key and important parts, the key characteristic analysis was carried through, and the quality control measures were put forward. Aiming at the bullet index, the reliability and safety characteristics were analyzed and safeguard measures were put forward. The test results show that the 5.8 mm armor piercing projectile meets the requirements of the technical index.
