A new type of smart vibration supression material were studied in this paper. Being a composite of three main components of Piezo-electric ceramic material PZT, electric conducting material Acetylene black and Br-butyl-rubber, this material is obtained through a production process similar to the traditional rubber fabrication process. Comparing with the energy dissipation mechanism of the traditional vibration supression material, in which the energy of external vibration is dissipated in a way of frications between atoms and molecules of it, a new type of energy dissipation mechanism is introduced into this new vibration supression material in addition, through which the vibration energy is dissipated by a great unumber of micro-electrical circuits formed in it. In this material, the vibration energy is firstly transformed into electrial energy by Piezo-electric material, and then is dissipated by the micro-resistors formed by the Carbon Black and the rubber materials, So the vibration energy is transformed into heat energy and lost. The damping coefficent testing indicats that the vibration supressing effect of this type material is much better than any other vibration supressing materials of this type in and out the country.
