In this paper, a systematic and comprehensive study of the software for rapid prototyping technology has been conducted. The information processing issues in data transferring from CAD modeling are analyzed in detail, and some novel ways and algorithms are brought forward and realized in the software. The slicing way using STL file interface, including reconstructing the topological information of STL file, checking and repairing various kinds of errors and mistakes in STL files, and slicing algorithm, is reviewed. Several filling and scanning way, including simple network filling, to and fro filling , offset filling and composite filling, are compared. And composite filling is chosen for the need of FDM technics. Direct slicing is chosen for the limitation in traditional STL file, and the way using AutoCAD as platform and utilizing Automation interface is bought forward and realized in software. In the realization of composite filling, offset algorithm of the contour constructed by lines and arcs is put forward, and a path generation algorithm in filling realizing to and for filling in different parts is also brought forward.
